Area Manager | New England and Mid-Atlantic States

BARCLAY WATER MANAGEMENT, INC. was founded in 1932 and is the oldest and largest employee-owned water treatment organization in North America. We manufacture a wide range of specialty treatments for controlling water chemistry in heating, cooling, process and power generating systems. Our products and services extend the useful life of boilers, chillers, cooling towers, process heat exchangers and piping systems as well as reduce utility plan operating costs by minimizing water and energy consumption.

We are currently looking for Area Managers to grow our business in the New England and Mid-Atlantic States. As a Barclay Area Manager you’ll be responsible for managing your own territory, making cold calls to develop new business and servicing existing customers.

Qualifications include:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Engineering/Science or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Commercial or Industrial sales experience
  • Successful track record meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Prior sales experience with water treatment specialty chemicals or equipment is preferred, but not required
  • Strong relationship management skills and consultative selling approach
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Environmental Group Manager | Newton MA

BARCLAY WATER MANAGEMENT, INC. was founded in 1932 and is the oldest and largest employee-owned water treatment organization in North America. We manufacture a wide range of specialty treatments for controlling water chemistry in heating, cooling, process, and power generating systems. We are currently looking for an Environmental Group Manager for our Environmental Group (EG) located in Newton, MA. Barclay’s Environmental Group was established to enable clients to minimize the risks associated with Legionella pneumophila and other waterborne pathogens in their facilities. Most diagnosed cases of Legionnaires’ disease have been linked to building water systems. The successful individual will provide technical support and administrative assistance to the Sales Support Director, Environmental Group Senior Director and the sales/service team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Produce quotes and proposals for EG products and services
  • Assist in the EG pricing and cost calculations
  • Coordinate and create reports from data provided by sales staff for distribution directly to our customers
  • Conduct site surveys and create corresponding assessments of building water systems according to the ASHRAE 188-2015 Standard
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time (occasional overnight required)
  • Actively participate in the presentation of building water system survey findings to customers
  • Assist the Sales Support Director in the creation and maintenance of monthly sales reports
  • Assist with EG permit processing

 

Qualifications include:

  • B.S. in Science or Engineering (biology, environmental or chemistry) is required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines is required
  • Strong MS Office skills are required.Experience in Visio is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Microbiology Director | Newton, MA

We are currently looking for a Microbiology Director for our Newton, MA headquarters.

Responsibilities include:

  • Public Water System approval processes and compliance monitoring
  • Maintaining regulatory requirements in relation to using monochloramine generators for drinking water and any other regulatory requirements needed to perform environmental services
  • Spearhead data analysis projects to produce case studies and other technical documents
  • Provide Environmental Group services leadership to sales team through regular joint field days
  • Attend and present Environmental Group services at professional conferences
  • Train field personnel and customers on biocide selection, Legionella bacteria topics, regulatory requirements, LEED Building Certification, and other topics
  • Collaborate on the production of documentation produced by our in-house Environmental and Microbiology Groups.
  • Maintain professional relationships with vendors and customers/prospects
  • Provide leadership and coaching for professional development of in-house Environmental staff.
  • Approximately 40% travel required, some overnight 

Qualifications include:

  • B.S./M.S. in Science or Engineering (biology, environmental or chemistry) is required
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines is required
  • Prior interaction with Regulatory Agencies is a plus
  • Strong MS Office skills are required. Experience in Visio is a plus

Purchasing Operations Administrator | Newton, MA

We are seeking a motivated, self-driven individual to join the Barclay team as a Purchasing Operations Administrator located in our Newton, MA Headquarters.

Responsibilities include:

  • Process purchase orders to a variety of vendors for raw materials, equipment, supplies and services for both internal and external customers.
  • Coordinate the logistics and shipment of orders; providing ship dates and acknowledgements to Customer Service and Sales as needed.
  • Reports to the Purchasing Manager and assists with a variety of tasks and assignments for the Purchasing Department.
  • Coordinate/Administration of Barclay’s growing fleet of leased vehicles and trucks.
  • Supports the VP of Finance and Accounting Department with vendor invoice processing in SAP Concur as well as other financial transactions/report analysis as requested.
  • Assists with other projects as needed.

 

Qualifications include:

  • 0-2 years’ experience and a Associates or Bachelor’s degree required
  • A strong desire to learn and succeed
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Microsoft Office experience a must
  • Knowledge of SAGE 100 accounting software a plus
  • Knowledge of SAP Concur a plus
  • Authorization to work in the US a must

  • Driving tandem axle truck and delivering liquid water treatment chemicals to industrial and commercial clients.
  • Handling drums, portable pumps, and hoses used for making two-man SAFEÒ deliveries of our products.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the SAFEÒ delivery equipment.
  • Ensuring that bills of lading are complete and accurate.

 

Qualifications include:

  • CDL driver’s license (class A or B), HAZMAT endorsement, tanker endorsement and air brake endorsement
  • Ability to load, lift and move heavy objects.
  • Prior experience in handling drums, portable pumps and hoses is preferred.
  • Excellent communications skills
